Established in 1981, Juniper Front Community Garden is one of the oldest community gardens in San Diego, providing a greenbelt in the culturally and economically diverse urban neighborhood of Bankers Hill, just north of downtown San Diego.
An urban community garden on a half-acre of land.
Garden plots vary in size. The average is 125 square feet.
The orchard is a shared resource in the community garden.
Members must actively tend their assigned garden plots year-round using organic gardening methods only. Members must also pay dues and do volunteer work to support common area maintenance and neighborhood beautification. The waitlist is three to four years long.
